It's time for state policymakers to lead a culture change in which data are not only collected but used to improve system performance, increase efficiencies, and increase transparency, all of which contribute to improved student outcomes.

If this change doesn't occur, the education community will continue to fly blind without quality education data to inform and evaluate efforts to increase college and career readiness.
